Our Care

At Housman Care we offer 24-hour residential care provision for people over the age of 65. Upon enquiring about a place at Housman, a potential residents needs are assessed so that a person-centred care plan can be drawn up. The resident is always at the heart of every care plan and we endeavour to tailor our care to your loved ones needs.

All rooms have disabled access with a lift and stair lift available. We use electronic hoists for any manual handling and resident safety and comfort is our top priority. We provide a safe and homely environment with round-the-clock care promoting a sense of calm and well-being for our residents.

Living in a care home can seem like quite a daunting prospect but, our staff are fully trained and work hard to ensure that your loved ones feel happy and cared for enjoying a fulfilled life. Our staff will help your loved one settle in to their new home, and we encourage you to visit as often as you can.

We also offer respite care on a short or long-term basis. This can be for residents being discharged from hospitals, or entering Housman from their own homes. Please contact us directly for more information. Housman is a ‘forever home’ and we are trained to provide palliative care and End of Life care. We will always do our best to meet your care needs to ensure that you are always receiving the best care possible at all times.

*Please note that we are a residential care home and not a nursing home so we may not be able to meet your needs if your loved one requires nursing care. This would be determined upon assessment by our Registered Manager.
